When Tango Gameworks rose like a phoenix with the help of Krafton, their creative director John Johanas faced the task of leading the rekindled studio, and giving them an identity and banner to rally under whilst development started again.
The new identity, by Jeff Wiggins, evokes the feeling of craftsman ship, creating order and clean lines, with the messy workshop floor framing the creative results from the chaos.
With the ident in hand, John and I worked closely to design a site that incorporated the textures, colour ways and typography from the style guide, and make it work in a website. We’d always have great conversations about how we could push elements from the guide, the challenges of getting a large team photographed and on the site, and the short term growth needs with the recruitment pages.
With Tango Gameworks being based in Tokyo, the site was built to be bilingual, allowing all pages to be translated.
