A few months after the launch of Lumines Arise and the accompanying website, Kyoko and CJ from Enhance approached DEKIRU again, with a lovely problem.
The design of the Lumines Arise site had elevated their visual presence, making the Tetris Effect: Connected website – their flagship game – look a little tired and in need of some love.
How do we bring the site’s visual identity to parity with the newly crafter Lumines Arise site?
The flexible nature of the way I build WordPress themes allowed us to change the branding, colours and keyart to get up and running very quickly. After that, we did some analysis of what content on the site was important, how it could be move into the new framework, and what new templates we would need.
There was quite a bit of tweaks and new elements to accommodate a game that’s been around for 10 years and has had the critical success that Tetris Effect: Connected has. The long standing community area for example, is a key part of the games longevity.
Working closely with the Enhance team again was a joy, and I couldn’t be happier having worked on a descendent IP of one of my favourite games, Tetris!
